After defeating Shredder (arch nemesis from the original cartoons) the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have grown apart as a team and as brothers. Leonardo has gone to Central America on orders from Master Splinter to train. In the mean time New York is having sightings of strange attacks. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo are forced to once again unite to save the city & the world.
Who is the Audience for This Movie?
Young kids & people who like animated movies that move fast with action and plenty of corny one liner’s.
What I Liked About This Movie
I liked the turtles as a kid and was worried that maybe the turtles were not really as cool as I remembered them being, thankfully I was wrong. This movie was a lot of fun and brought back good memories of Saturday morning cartoons. The action was great and there was a few funny lines mixed in with the corny lines usually thrown into the scenes.

The voice acting was good and the animation style was very striking. Many will be turned off by the new look of the turtles but I think the darker style looks fantastic.
What Didn’t Work For Me
The issues between the turtles did not resonate with me and dragged down parts of the movie. I know they wanted to try and mature the content a bit for those who watched it when they were younger but I did not feel the change was needed. I watch a Turtle’s movie to see the turtles “kick butt” not deal with deep emotional issues.
Should You Watch This Movie?
Only if you already like The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would I recommend this movie. It seems like a fan service to the kids (now young adults) who made the Turtles so popular.
