After tearing a hole in the universe at the very end of Benders Big Score (not really a spoiler by the way) the world is in chaos as to what should be done to fix it. After a few failed attempts to destroy the hole a tentacled alien the size of a planet comes through the hole. The alien attempts to take over the planet by jabbing it’s tentacles into the necks of every human being.
Who is the Audience for This Movie?
Futurama fans and fans of shows like The Simpsons & Family Guy.
What I Liked About This Movie
They did away with love story stuff that I felt dragged down Benders Big Score and came up with a story that has more action, more laughs and is far more interesting. When Futurama focuses on outlandish stories and deals with Fry trying to find acceptance it almost always successful.

Many characters from the TV series are thrown in scenes and for fans it is fun to point out all the characters from the Futurama universe that appear. The voice acting is top notch as usual and the inclusion of David Cross was a great move. He has a great comedic voice and ends up being part of many of the best jokes in the movie.
What Didn’t Work For Me
The Beast with a Billion Backs feels a little crammed. At any given time there are 3 storylines going forward and the tightness of a typical Futurama outing feels lost. This leads to some under development at points of the intertwined stories and gives it a rough draft kind of feeling.
Saying the storyline of this movie is strange would be a huge understatement, even by Futurama’s standards. I am not going to give it away but at the mid way point this movie takes a strange turn that while hilarious is pretty far out there.
Should You Watch This Movie?
It is better then Benders Big Score and shows the possibility of Futurama fans getting even better Futurama outings in the next two movies.
