The planet express crew has finally returned after the box network (sounds vaguely like fox…) canceled their contract a few years ago. Hermes has an accident and while visiting him in the hospital Leela meets a new character named Lars. After their first delivery The Professor manages to lose control of planet express to a group of nudist aliens. Bender the robot accidentally installs a virus that makes him their obedient robot slave.

What I Liked About This Movie
The simple fact that it exists. I love Futurama and feel it was the best animated show ever put on television. It was definitely cancelled in its prime but thanks to the magic of the DVD market Futurama can live on.
If you are a fan of Futurama the in jokes for fans of the show are everywhere and after waiting so long for more Futurama content it is a classy move by the producers to add them.
If you are not already a Futurama faithful there is still a lot to like about this movie. The jokes come fast and furious throughout the movie leaving you laughing while more jokes are still happening. Many of the jokes are in your face jokes but if you are a geek like me you will note things the producers intentionally sprinkled in unimportant parts of the frame that are just as entertaining as the jokes on display.
What Didn’t Work For Me
The twist in the love story between the new character name Lars and Leela was telegraphed as soon as the character walked on screen. The love story aspects of this movie are not nearly as interesting as the jokes and drag down the movie a bit.
Should You Watch This Movie?
Yes…please do. It is not the best Futurama has to offer but it is great to see the planet express crew again.
