Batman(Christian Bale), along with James Gordon(Gary Oldman) and the new district attorney Harvey Dent(Aaron Eckhart) join forces to take down all of the criminal bosses is Gotham City. A new sadistic criminal named the Joker interferes with their plans and Batman is forced to face a new enemy.

An American nuclear submarine crashes in the ocean after an unexplainable event knocks out all of their power. To try and save any remaining survivors on the submarine a group of nearby ocean drillers along with a few Navy Seals are sent to the crash site.
