Private Parts Review

This movie is based on the book which also happens to be called Private Parts. Howard Stern stars as Howard Stern in a movie based on his life. Private Parts follows Stern through his school days, his rise to fame and all of the problems along the way.

Who is the Audience for This Movie?

Obviously Howard Stern fans but the movie is also aimed at people who like crude comedy.

What I Liked About This Movie

Stern playing himself was by far the funniest thing about this movie. Seeing someone play themselves in multiple stages of their life in a move that chronicles their life is a great concept.

Unlike many people I find Stern interesting, he is not always funny but he is always interesting. He knows how to get under peoples skin by doing things that are offensive to some and hilarious to others. He managed to have more charisma on screen then I thought he would and he is entertaining even in the non radio related scenes.

What Didn’t Work For Me

Private Parts uses video clips of hot girls holding up cues card and saying where the next location in the movie is. The chicks were hot but the scenes were longer then they should have been and slowed down the movie whenever they appeared.

Stern is not the king of subtlety and much of this movie has a people thought I sucked but little did they know how big I would become theme that pops up way too often in overtly obvious ways. What happened with the ending of this movie? Why did a funny raunchy comedy end with a happy family moment?

Should You Watch This Movie?

Maybe, there are a few funny scenes that could make this a decent rental.
