What I Liked About This Movie

Steven Spielberg never seems to fail when it comes to making an entertaining movie. That is not to say many of his films do not have their flaws but he does always manage to make films that entertain. This movie must have been a good challenge for Spielberg because it has a complex story that is backed up by some inventive visuals of future technology.

I only hope that the technology on display in this movie is what we will see in the future it all looked pretty sweet. There are a few really cool action scenes in this movie that were definitely different then your usual car chase or gun fight. Use of product placement was equally as interesting because instead of awkwardly placing the advertising (Michael Bay take note) it is woven into the world created for the movie.

What Didn’t Work For Me

At many points in this movie it felt like it was pandering to the masses. The story was overdrawn and over explained itself in many instances that felt like the movie was holding your hand and saying “hey audience this is important watch this part”. Minority Report ends on a happy note like so many other Spielberg movies. This is a grittier movie then he normally directs; I just felt the ending was out of place considering all that comes before it.

Should You Watch This Movie?

Minority report is enjoyable and I would recommend you watch it.
