What I Liked About This Movie

I watched this movie with a friend who wanted to see it because he thought it might be an entertainingly bad movie. In a way he was right for the most part there is nothing about the movie that any avid movie viewer will find engaging but it did provide laughs in the form of pointing out all the movies pitfalls.

What Didn’t Work For Me

The main character (pictured below) is supposedly in the beginning of the movie a socially awkward geek. Upon the first look at him you can tell that he is going to fail at the role he was given. He looks like he could play a dude from “the in crowd” in a high school movie. Appearances can be deceiving sometimes but not in this case. His dialogue delivery is forced and not very believable.

I do not want to pick on him alone though because this movie is full of unrealistic characters that are played awfully by the actors. If I had to pick one of them out though I would have to say the main characters geeky “comic relief” friend is one of those characters you just keep hoping will stop appearing in scenes throughout the movie.

What about the story & gambling scenes? Well to put it bluntly 21 contains some very awful plotting. To make matters worse the movie is 2 HOURS LONG, contains very few scenes of actual gambling, and tension is almost non-existent throughout most of the movie.

Should You Watch This Movie?

Don’t bother.
