Who is the Audience for This Movie?
People who like thrillers with sci-fi elements.
What I Liked About This Movie
Invasion of the Body Snatchers happens to be a movie that upon first viewing shocked me with its perfect ending. Instead of coping out the story follows through with what logic would dictate should be the conclusion. It is a choice many thrillers steer away from in order to give viewers who do not like to be challenged their “safe” conclusion.

Creepy mood and some solid special effects also help bolster what you could easily consider a B-movie. The invading aliens are not your typical little grey guys waddling around they are plants from outer space that attach to a host (humans in this case) which fittingly look disgusting. Effects used for the scenes involving the plants may look corny at times but they are still kind of interesting. The atmosphere stays tense at all times and successfully succeeds in providing exactly what you would expect from a movie classified as a thriller.
What Didn’t Work For Me
Although the cast is sprinkled with interesting actors like Jeff Goldblum, Donald Sutherland, and Leonard Nimoy the very talky lead up is slightly on the boring side. There are flashes of some good thriller elements I just felt they could of balanced both the dialogue and thriller aspects in the beginning a lot better.
Should You Watch This Movie?
Yes you should.
