What I Liked About This Movie

There are a lot of sexual innuendos in this movie that I found really funny. Bond drops them often enough that even if one fails you know a good one is coming up to save it. To add to the sexual vibe a woman manages to make Bond nervous; even going so far as to challenge his manhood. As usual though, he does end up getting it with her anyways.

The action never takes itself seriously so it is always fun to watch. Bond gets a jetpack, has a run in with a shark, and gets involved in a huge underwater spear battle. Thunderball has a large variety of action scenes and a villain with an eye patch. With a decent mixture of the elements mentioned above it delivers an entertaining spy extravaganza.

What Didn’t Work For Me

It’s fairly “convenient” that bond happened to be in the right place at the right time to uncover information that no other 00 agent could. In fact everything about the movies opening involving Bond is quite ludicrous. Besides that, I felt that the movie was poorly paced with even the best scenes dragging on too long.

Should You Watch This Movie?

I would.
