What I Liked About This Movie

This may seem odd but before watching this movie I knew absolutely nothing about the Watergate scandal other then that it ended with Nixon stepping down. Even though I was interested in the story I sort of expected this to be a fairly dry account of the two reporter’s investigation. With a few notable aspects it manages to be quite entertaining.

All the President\'s Men Photo

At the forefront of the movies strengths are the performances by Hoffman and Redford. Both have been in a lot of great movies and really shine together on the screen. What I liked even more was that there were numerous scenes with both actors together and separate. On the technical side the depth in many of the shots is quite impressive and make some of the shots that cold have been fairly boring quite interesting to look at. The editing and sound also are quite good.

What Didn’t Work For Me

This movie really had me interested in the impact the reporters actions had but the movie ends with no real bang. So much time is spent on lead up then they end it with shots of a typewriter.

Should You Watch This Movie?

I really liked it and would definitely recommend it.
