What I Liked About This Movie
I feel it is best that I get this out of the way right off the bat; this was an awful movie. Out of pity I will tell three you things I did like about it though. Denial Craig is still playing Bond, the Bond girl was hot, and the revitalized spirit of Bond that was present in Casino Royale is still in tact. You can probably already guess the score.
What Didn’t Work For Me
My dislike for this movie starts with the title. Usually the bond movies have cool sounding titles but Quantum of Solace sounds better suited for a 70’s sci-fi extravaganza. After getting over that one of my biggest issues with action movies as of late popped up within the first few minutes. I HATE SHAKY CAM ACTION SCENES! I apologize for using the caps but they lack everything that makes action movies good. When a bad guy gets his ass handed to him I like to see the hero kick his ass not 18 different angled cuts that flash so fast my eyes hurt. If they kept steady on some of the nicer looking shots the action could have been really cool. Why this style has caught on with mainstream audiences is beyond me.

So after having my eyes pummeled by incoherent action the bad guy (pictured above) is introduced. The guy is so meek looking that the Bond girl could have easily handed his ass to him without breaking a nail. Structurally the movie feels all over the place because the writer felt the need to cram in as many locations as possible. This leads to moments where it seems as though Bond just teleports across the world. I could mention other things that bugged me but when the action in an action movie sucks that should be enough to convince you to stay away from it.
Should You Watch This Movie?
It was so utterly disappointing that after viewing it both myself and the person who saw it with me felt it was not worth going to see and had no urge to ever want to watch it again.
