Two veteran police officers (Robert De Niro & Al Pacino) attempt to find a killer as other officers begin to suspect that it is one of their own that is committing the murders.
Who is the Audience for This Movie?
People who like police dramas.
What I Liked About This Movie
I have to say I was surprised to see that 50 Cent looked like he was legitimately trying to act. As a rap fan his music lost its luster for me a long time ago and I fully expected his performance to be horrible. He will not win any awards for the role but he decently displays his overly cocky personality on screen.
What Didn’t Work For Me
The fact that the only positive thing I had to say about this movie was that 50 Cent was not horrible should tell you right off the bat I was not pleased with it. Like most people will end up doing I watched Righteous Kill only because it starred De Niro and Pacino.

Unfortunately they have played in somewhat the same roles before the only difference this time around is that it is no longer interesting or even half as good. No new ground is treaded in any way leaving you with that sinking feeling of disappointment that kind of lingers through the entire movie. The moment this feeling washed over me was during the credit sequence and only worsened as the movie proceeded. At no point is the emotional connection to the characters enforced which leaves the two veteran actors little room to even try to make it interesting. Once again disappointment reared its ugly head to gloat because the acting from the mega stars is totally bland.
You should be able to fully gauge my feelings on Righteous Kill from those few points.
Should You Watch This Movie?
It really is not worth your time. Even if you are still curious because it has two legendary actors in it I would say put that curiosity out of your mind and go watch one of their better movies.
