What I Liked About This Movie

I watched 12 Angry Men shortly after a horrible movie so my critical palette was nice and cleansed going into it. It was a probably a good thing too because 12 Angry Men is nothing short of fantastic. There is no action, not very many locations, and no big finale yet it manages to maintain a very tense level throughout. The very few rooms the majority of the movie is shot in never get boring which is a testament to the clever camera work on display. It feels about as claustrophobic as a movie could ever be.

Handling such a large cast must have been a huge undertaking. Every character is sharply defined with unique mannerisms and morality. Moral values play a huge part in the movies progression as the outcast juror begins to win over the others with his observations on why he thinks the man is innocent. In the end it is up to you the viewer if you are convinced the boy is innocent or not. 12 Angry Men is a simple movie with a great message that delivers on every level.
