Lakeview Terrace

After an interracial couple moves in next door a LAPD officer (Samuel L. Jackson) tries to do all he can to force them out of his neighborhood.

Who is the Audience for This Movie?

People who like the “average people fight back” genre of movies.

What I Liked About This Movie

Samuel L. Jackson is in it. There were a few moments that were unintentionally funny.

What Didn’t Work For Me

This is one of those movies I truly do not feel deserves a full write up.
I am just going to list all the issues I had with it:

Horrible dialogue.
Too serious.
No chemistry between the couple.
Jackson’s motivation is both unclear & slightly racist.
Fighting back part does not happen till last 10 minutes.
Did not really need to see Jackson on the job.
Lots of scene jumping.
Useless relationship breakdown, sub-plot.
Attempts at one point to make Jackson’s character sympathetic.

In the end it is just an ugly movie with no clear message.

Should You Watch This Movie?

Only if you are really desperate to watch a Samuel L. Jackson movie should you watch Lakeview Terrace.
