Who is the Audience for This Movie?
People who like movies with a lot of dancing.
What I Liked About This Movie
Everything that didn’t work for me ended up making me laugh many times throughout the movie.
What Didn’t Work For Me
It only takes four minutes for the first major dance number to happen. It ends up becoming the type of dance number where they walk down the street and every single person on the street ends up joining there dance mob. From this point on I took the movie strictly as a comedy even though I think the intention was to make it slightly dramatic and uplifting.

I for one am really glad I was born during the tail end of the 80’s because the style of clothing people were rocking during that era is incredibly awful to look at. Everything is so blindingly bright and audacious you cannot help but wonder if the people who appeared in the movie ever looked back on it years later and felt slightly embarrassed.
Of course the key drawing point is the dancing. While the dancing quota is delivered in spades its execution feels like the dancing scenes are strange music video styled breaks in the story. The story itself felt exactly like something you would expect from one of those videos about life lessons you are forced to watch when you are younger. The cherry on top the tangerine flavored ice cream though is the dance off between the rival dance crews. If it was meant to be serious then there dance moves were straight up terrible back then.
Should You Watch This Movie?
Make no mistake this is an awful movie I just found myself laughing so much that I got to at least give it minor credit for being entertaining.
