A crime fighter who calls himself The Punisher (Ray Stevenson) must face off against a villain named Jigsaw (Dominic West).
Who is the Audience for This Movie?
Fans of movies based off of comic book characters.
What I Liked About This Movie
Like many action movies I only watched War Zone because I wanted to see a bunch of generic bad guys get owned. After only a few minutes into the movie multiple action scenes take place resulting in over 30 people getting demolished. In my book that is pretty sweet. The other notable action scene would be the movies finale where the body count ramps up even more.
From what I wrote above you could say I am sick macabre person and if I am so be it. At least I only watch violence in movies instead of using it in real life.
What Didn’t Work For Me
Story, acting, and dialogue are dreadful.

How the villain comes to be is kind of interesting, beyond that though, you will most likely want to skip through all the boring emotional stuff in the movies center. As far as the acting goes I felt that Tom Jane played a great Punisher in the last movie based off the character. If it is any consolation the current Punisher, he does out act Dolph Lundgren’s portrayal of The Punisher (not much of a feat). The villain is played by Dominic West and he was perfect on the HBO show The Wire but he should never ever play a villain whoever cast him for the role made a grave mistake. Dialogue is fairly flat and when someone’s talking the only thing in your mind will be “when will they stop talking and go kill stuff”.
Should You Watch This Movie?
With some friends you might find some enjoyment in it just do not expect a lot from it.
