What I Liked About This Movie

It needs to be said that if you do not find Ben Stiller funny don’t read this review or watching Zoolander. This movie is pretty much epitomizes his comedic style; funny faces, dumb humor, and strange voices. I always found him mildly funny in his other movies but Zoolander is easily the best character he has played. There are so many quotable lines you probably won’t even catch them all on first viewing.

The supporting actors do not slouch on the comedy front either. When you got Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell backing you up you know there will not be very much non-comedic downtime. What surprises me the most every time I watch it is that it is a very clever satire. It spoofs the life of a celebrity any chance it can and there are a ridiculous amount of cameos. On a minor note, for a comedy Zoolander is really well shot.

What Didn’t Work For Me

At one point Zoolander decides to get back to his roots by visiting his family and works in a coal mine with them. It slows the movie down a little too much even though it does provide a few laughs.

Should You Watch This Movie?

Zoolander is friggin hilarious, nuff said.
