Who is the Audience for This Movie?

People who like bromance comedies.

What I Liked About This Movie

This movie is targeted solely a males. Many of the jokes are most likely not going to be as funny to you if you are a woman. I like when a movie caters to its core audience instead of spreading a wider net to attract every target audience possible. The supporting cast provides the bulk of the movies laughs. Even average movie goers will notice a lot of familiar faces. The rest of the comedy is provided by Jason Segel he definitely got the movies best jokes and they fit his style perfectly.

What Didn’t Work For Me

Considering that he is the lead in this movie I found it strange that Paul Rudd is least funny part of the movie. I get that his characters purpose is to provide awkward humor but most of his jokes end up just being awkwardly unfunny.

Hollywood needs to start finding a new comedic formulas because this break up to make up nonsense needs to go. It was fine to do it in the 80’s but it’s now time to come up with something new.
