Who is the Audience for This Movie?
Fans of romantic comedies.
What I Liked About This Movie
It’s nice to finally watch a romantic comedy that features a teenager who doesn’t act like a whiny girl. Even the moment his parents crush all his dreams he is mad but instead of crying about it he realizes it’s up to him to make his dreams come true.

Since the majority of the movie is set in an amusement park you would expect them to fully utilize the setting and they definitely do. A handful of the shots are strikingly framed and scenes take place in plenty of different locations at the park. The movie is set in the 80’s yet it is no way obnoxious about it. All of the people aren’t wearing hot pink clothing with leather pants and the crappy 80’s music you expect to hear is intentionally used in lame ways.
Throughout the movie there are plenty of small jokes to keep the movie from being too touchy feely. The relationship aspect to the movie is fairly complex with different relationships entangling with each other and at all times they feel as awkward as they should.
What Didn’t Work For Me
I was really hoping for more big laughs.
Should You Watch This Movie?
Adventureland doesn’t try to achieve anything that hasn’t been done in other movies during its running time but it does provide some solid entertainment.
