Fast and Furious Review

The original characters (Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez) from the first fast and furious movie re-unite to take down a heroin importer.

Who is the Audience for This Movie?

People who like movies with lots of car scenes in them.

What I Liked About This Movie

Like any person who would even think about watching this movie I watched it solely for the car action. The previous movies were fun because the stunts were incredibly over the top and even though I think they go way too far with the unconvincing CGI in this entry I would be lying if I said I did not enjoy anytime the cars were flying across the screen.

What Didn’t Work For Me

For starters the plotting is all over the place. It is blatently obvious that they are going to eventually have the gang from the original all back together but the road it takes to get to that point is incredibly convoluted. So many plot twists are introduced it made my head hurt. They assume you know every little detail from the original and reference it whenever they possibly can to make sure people reminisce about it. Instead of writing as many references as possible to original they should have cared more about improving the formula that made it such a success. It felt like a chore watching any scene that did not involve speeding cars. To make matters worse they leave it open for another sequel.

Fast and Furious Photo

One thing that has always bugged me about this franchise is that they keep shifting all the time; how many freaking gears do they have?

Should You Watch This Movie?

NO NO NO NO NO. Is that enough NO’s to ensure you do not watch this movie?
