Who is the Audience for This Movie?

People who like movies that have a lot of explosions.

What I Liked About This Movie

I feel I need to applaud myself for giving Michael Bay the benefit of the doubt and giving this movie a shot after I totally hated Transformers. Everything I liked about the first movie (Megan Fox’s ass, special effects, & cinematography) kept me watching even though I was unable to enjoy any of it.

What Didn’t Work For Me

Normally I would weave all of my key points into a few paragraphs but after thinking about it I feel it would better serve yours and my time if I were to just list out the reasons why I think this movie is awful.

Here Goes:

• The voice over at the beginning and end of movie doesn’t make sense and breaks the fourth wall.
• If at any point you question a characters decision or the direction of the movie it begins to make less and less sense. I spent the entire running time trying to figure out how the writers felt what they were slamming out held any semblance of proper storytelling.
• I love action movies but when you smash one action scene after another it begins to lose its luster and becomes tiresome.
• When the robots..I mean Transformers are fighting they tend to all start looking the same. At times it looks like hunks of metal fighting itself. It also doesn’t help that there are at the very least 30 different type of Transformers on display.
• Comedic elements in action movies are great when the jokes are actually funny. LOL he is under the robots balls hiiilllllarious. HA HA the main characters mom bought pot brownies and got high when she visited a college hahahah you so funny Michael Bay.
• Who makes a 2.5 hour action movie? Really? you aim your movie towards people with low attention span and make the movie as long you possibly can. Smart.
• Why is it when the Transformers are doing battle their are always Marines fighting on the ground. They NEVER do any damage to the Transformers they just get destroyed by them because they can’t hurt them.

I could go on but I do not feel I need to. Hit me back with some comments if you disagree with my points I would love to see someone try to defend this trash heap of a movie.

Should You Watch This Movie?

Eventually most people will end up watching this movie. That is sad statement that kind of hurts me to say because asinine crap like Transformers will undoubtedly garner more viewers’ eyes then movies that are actually you know…good.
