What I Liked About This Movie

I like revenge movies they are mindless fun with a predictable endings but they always have entertaining moments.

Mel Gibson has played a character close to the one he plays in this movie before (Payback) this time around though the added family aspect gives his character more depth. Every time he is on screen you can tell his character is determined and bitter he looks like he is ready to snap at any moment. When he does the violence is quick and ruthless.

What Didn’t Work For Me

After the movie ended I couldn’t pinpoint if it was a revenge or conspiracy movie. It tries to be both at different times and even adds in a minor spiritual aspect to make the mix a little more muddled. By the time it gets to the end you can tell they filled up the movie with too many aspects because the ending is very rushed. You know the generic guy is going to get what is coming to him it should have been more of a spectacle.

Should You Watch This Movie?

It is definitely be a solid watch just don’t expect much.
