Humans are now living their lives through robots called Surrogates with the comfort of never having to leave their homes or worry about the dangers of the world. Life is all fine and dandy until a cop (Bruce Willis) finds two dead Surrogates that fried there operators brains.

Who is the Audience for This Movie?

Fans of action packed Sci-Fi movies.

What I Liked About This Movie

Surrogates had the potential to explore an interesting concept. Its premise parallels our current social use of computers to communicate as opposed to genuine face to face contact. The underlying question that will be in your head the whole time is “If given the option would I use a Surrogate?”.

What Didn’t Work For Me

Instead of looking for deeper meaning in its premise Surrogates does everything it can to gleam over boring thinking parts and get right to the over the top action.

Surrogates Photo

Most of the time when I watch an action movie that doesn’t bother me but in the case of Surrogates I was more interested in the world the characters inhabited then the bland action. Every little twist that is revealed will be obvious to any viewer. On top of that Bruce Willis looks like he is barely trying to act you can tell he isn’t very interested in being in the movie.

Should You Watch This Movie?

You definitely should not.
