What I Liked About This Movie
Fantastic Mr. Fox is downright beautiful looking. The care and attention out into small details was blowing my mind the entire time I was watching it. Even some of the tracking shots that move by really quickly have so much going on I had to slow them down. Wes Anderson’s visual style was a perfect fit for the world of Fantastic Mr. Fox.

My mom would read me the book as a kid and I didn’t think there would be enough story to properly fill a feature length movie. It took me by surprise when immediately after the movie starts you realize how much they fleshed out the small story. It’s a simple tale but there are so many little moments that are genuinely touching and funny and realistically it didn’t need to be overly ambitious in its scope.
What makes the movie something I want to watch numerous times over though is the dialogue and the characters. Each character has their little quirks that make them stand out uniquely. I found that impressive considering there are quite a few main and supporting characters in this movie. The dialogue moves at a break neck pace but it always kept making me laughing. Mr. Fox is clever as can be and the rest of the cast chime in from time to time to keep the comedic momentum going.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and can’t wait to watch it again.
