What I Liked About This Movie
Inception was released with little explanation of what it was about going into it I had absolutely no idea what to expect. What struck me right away about it was that from the opening frame there is already a sense of urgency to it. Your not given time to dissect what’s going on you have to just go with it and for the rest of the movie your going to feel the same way until you give it a re-watch later and focus on specifics. The movies concept is a bit out there but the suspension of disbelief is on point at all times.

When watching the movie I felt like it was a choose your adventure type of viewing experience you can either just stare at the pretty visuals and action or you can try to contemplate the mind boggling plotting that Christopher Nolan must have spent years constructing. I tried for days after the movie to think of a way to break it plot hole but there isn’t one. I see Inception as a movie that delivers a unique experience to every viewer even the movies ending is open interpretation. People will be dissecting this movie for years.
So it’s entertaining and thought provoking what else? Well, from a technical standpoint its genius. The special effects are intense and since most of the movie takes place in a dream world they take full advantage of the opportunity to try stylishly unrealistic things that would make no sense in real life but look cool as hell. On a technical level it doesn’t just rely on its visuals though the editing from unobservant viewers stand point works if you break it down though it’s impressive. Since there are simultaneous story lines all happening at once and each dream level in the mind has a different time structure all the story lines only have a certain amount of screen time they can take up or else the movies logic would fall apart like many of the dreams do. It’s sort of hard to explain it’s just something you got to see and experience for yourself.
What Didn’t Work For Me
Nothing.

Seriously? I thought this movie was… sure visually pretty thing to stare at but nothing more.
All it really did in my opinion was gathering simple impossible theories together in an over expensively made movie with pretty lights.
I actually got bored half way through and only stayed on watching hoping for an interesting scene or something emotional. I was disappointed.
