What I Liked About This Movie
Everything. So much effort was put into making sure there was an incredible amount of depth to Russell Brand’s character. Not only does Brand look like a rock star the songs they crafted are actually pretty good and he sings and perform them impressively. I even got the album they put out with the movies release that has all the songs from the movie and a few extras. At first it seems like his character will be very one dimensional but they slowly show the cracks in his persona and make you sympathize with him. Unlike most movies though when dramatic elements pop up they don’t slow the movie down they keep the comedic elements intertwined with them. The pacing is perfect.
More importantly the movie is HILARIOUS it revels in its sheer absurdity and has great celebrity cameos. Hell, I even laughed during P Diddy’s scenes. I re-watched this movie the morning after watching it for the first time and even though it was still fresh in my mind the jokes still hit.

Nothing big enough to complain about.
