A helicopter pilot (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of another person and is told he is on a special mission to find out who bombed a commuter train and he only has 8 minutes at a time to figure out who it is.
Who is the Audience for This Movie?
Anyone who likes action thrillers.
What I Liked About This Movie
In the end Source Code is much more complicated then the synopsis above and its best characteristic is that even though it is complex it does a fantastic job of hand holding the audience without patronizing them. After the movie was over as I usually do when a concept is as ambitious as Source Codes I tried to find holes in it but I couldn’t think of any solid points that would break its concept.

Like the directors (Duncan Jones) last movie Moon this movie is mostly driven by one character as usual Gyllenhaal put up a great performance and the supporting cast were on point. On a technical level the special effects were nice and grounded in reality and the editing was concise.
What Didn’t Work For Me
I absolutely love being surprised by good twists in movies and the final twist you will not guess at all unfortunately though I did guess who the bomber was very early into the movie and the MacGuffin of Source Code was not nearly as interesting to me.
Should You Watch This Movie?
Absolutely I don’t see how you could walk away from this movie disappointed it delivers on everything it sets out to accomplish.
