What I Liked About This Movie

First Class actually feels very comic book like. There is emotional weight to all the fighting that ensues and all the major characters are properly fleshed out. I loved the X-Men cartoons as a kid the first two X-Men movies came close to delivering near perfect interpretations of the iconic characters that were in line with what was familiar to me X-Men first class however handles its characters perfectly.

The relationship between magneto and xavier is very important to the X-Men universe and it was nice to finally see the origins of it in a live action movie. Of course I also like me some super-hero fighting and there is healthy amount of it in this movie.

What Didn’t Work For Me

Really could have done without the montage training scenes they slow the movies momentum down drastically.
