Who is the Audience for This Movie?
Fans of gangster movies.
What I Liked About This Movie
Drive is amazingly shot in ultra widescreen I could have watched the whole movie on mute and be captivated by it. Its not very easy to shoot the movie the way they did shooting as wide as they did can often leave scenes looking somewhat empty but the cinematographer fully harnessed the aspect ratio to make every shot as captivating as possible.

I really have not liked Ryan Gosling in anything else he has been in I almost didn’t watch this movie because he was the lead but I am glad I gave it a shot. Gosling finally sheds his pretty boy image and embraces a difficult role that relied heavily on emoting instead of dialogue.
When the movie starts it does not give you any hints as to where its headed and it takes its sweet time to reveal its true intentions. This choice could have backfired horribly but the slow burn to payoff motions Driver goes through are thoroughly captivating. As a viewer you are taken for ride with Driver because of its unpredictability.
What Didn’t Work For Me
